Read me, realize me, forget me
Life feels short,
when you think of
how little you've accomplished.
Life feels long,
when you realize
how little achievements mean to the dead.
Long or short,
does not matter
if you live in the now.
But you'll never see that bus coming.
Decadent poetry,
Like a dance on furry shellfish;
That always want company, all the way to town;
So that Jesus gets to go home drunk with a handsome cop sometimes.
The rasp of the little blue crystal against Thmela's blade sent a stirring shiver through his arms, and like reverse waterfall up his spine to shake his very skull. Silk soft powder that had belonged to his body yielded to the steady touch of the crystal to fall like a rain of sand to the cool hard floor.
Thmela had honed his blades every week, until now they were so sharp they cut skin and muscle with ease. He looked at the bone weapons with subdued pride, inspecting them from point to edge, to where the muscle flowed gently around the strong protruding branch of his lower arm. Now he was finally a weapon fit for war.
